Through my own healing journey, I expected the transformation to happen fast!
I wanted to zoom in on to change! The more I wanted to know...
When will I ever get there? How long is this going to take? Is it even worth trying? Will it turn out as planned?
I wanted to give up but giving up meant continuing to live life as I knew it. This only turned on the stress switch in my own subconsciousness, anxiety, fear, and worries.
Dr. Huberman's content showed up in my life at the perfect time, when I needed more clarity on this exact matter. When your energy truly desires something, it will make its way to you!
You're never too early and never too late; you're on time.
Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman on Duration, Path and Outcome:
Duration: How long will it last? What am I doing?
Path: What is going to happen? Where am I going?
Outcome: What ultimately is going to happen? What's the point?
Dr. Andrew Huberman shined light on the very topic I was investigating.
He goes in to explain Neuroplasticity during an interview with Rich Roll that:
"The brain is meant to be customized in the early part of life, then to implement those algorithms and circuitry for the rest of its life. It can change in adulthood; it can change provided there is an emphasis on some perceptual event. If you want to change your brain as an adult, the key is to bring focus to some particular perception of something that's happening during the learning process. There is neurochemical system involving acetylcholine, it comes from two nuclei at the base of the brain called nucleus basalis. All day long, you're doing things in a reflexive way, but when you do something and think about it very intensely, acetylcholine is released from basalis at the precise neurons that were involved in that behavior, and it marks those for change during sleep or during deep rest later. So, for people who want to change their brain, the power of focus is the entry point and the ability to access deep rest and sleep. Neural plasticity is triggered by intense focus and how to optimize brain functions. What the brain really wants to do is pass much of what it does off to reflexive behavior as much as possible and live life without much analysis. What exactly is focus and what triggers plasticity? The brain loves to do things and not put much energy into it, but when we decide focus, the brain switches on a set of circuits and trying to understand duration, path and outcome. Maybe someone is in a therapeutic process trying to work through a trauma -- duration, path and outcome is built into brain network so that we can do that easily, but it takes work. It almost has a feeling underlining agitation and frustration and that's because the circuits that turn on are of the stress system. When we decide to learn something and really dig in, adult brain doesn't really want to change the algorithm that we learn as a child."

The beauty in breaking down our transformational process is that you can see where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re heading.
Keep in mind that, like everything in life, this is a cycle and is in constant motion. This is the same process every time a life change is experienced. You may be in the Reinventing phase one week and Realize phase the next. You may feel the oneness of the Resurrect stage one day, then swoop into Releasing stage. You are constantly experiencing at least one or all of these phases at any given time throughout your life and on multiple levels.
Learning to manage the process is key. Think of it as a spiral staircase. Each step is another stage of transformation. Every step you take gets you closer to the next level of understanding. Enlightened perspectives and unexpected opportunities greet you at each level. This is the personal approach to transformation, but how can knowing this information impact the world? The world has become a messy place, filled with violence, anger, and destruction.
Many people ask me, “What can we do to change this? How will personal transformation create positive change in the world?” If there is one thing we know from living life, it is that change will happen. Embrace life as an ongoing process of transformation and retain a healthy curiosity about each outcome.
These stages are simply a way for personal development to become more sustainable in an ever-changing world.
It is your prescription for a healthy, fulfilled, and dedicated life.
